Our Goal

“Illuminating similarities and appreciating differences amongst Central Ohio youth.”

What We Teach

Ages Served: Youth currently enrolled in 6th grade.

Youth learn to work collaboratively to plan and execute a service project while also learning skills to be a successful leader.

Leadership skills including, self-control, effort, teamwork, social responsibility, empathy, confidence, influence, and passion.

How We Do It

Yearlong Learning Experience

Brings together a cohort of 100 students in a yearlong learning experience.

Leadership Lessons & Group Sessions

Students meet six times during the school year on The Ohio State University’s campus, for in-person leadership lessons, group sessions, and developed a service project.

Service Project

The service project, which has been a staple of the program since its inception, is responsive to needs in the participating school communities, and allow students to lead those initiatives and present their work to a panel in our closing session.
